Team consulting
Training teams from the ground up.
The goal is to give every player the personal and team instruction that lets them work past the flaws in their game. With positive reinforcement, all players can strive to be the best they can be, and that is what makes the team better.

Before anything else
We start with your staff.
Before any clinic or team practice it is imperative to spend time with the coaching staff and fully understand the goals and objectives they want Learn Lax to concentrate on. Learn Lax will teach any and all aspects of the game, but which of them your season actually turns on is your call, not ours.
- Face-off strategy

Increase your wins
Every facet of play, in detail.
From fundamentals to advanced technique. This is what each of those headings actually means on the field.
Face-offs
Traditional and motorcycle (reverse) grip technique. A complete understanding of how the face-off middie and the two wing players work together to win possession, plus teaching the face-off middie how to counter any move.
Team offense
All sets taught, 1-3-2, 2-2-2, 1-4-1, 2-4 and the rest, along with spacing, motion, back door timing, crease play, picking, two man plays, and the importance of ball control.
Team defense
Communication, footwork, second and third slide packages, proper stick location, denying the pass, hip to ball and hip to man positioning, and overall positioning that pushes offensive players into poor angles.
Fast breaks
L breaks, flat breaks, and give it up early then get it back breaks. Teaching the point man to read the play, and the wing players to always have a shooting angle rather than sitting on GLE.
Slow breaks
Teaching middies not to force the pass into the middle of the field, and how to cut after passing the ball down the side to get it to X.
Clearing
Teaching middies and d-men to break out on the shot, how to set up a settled clear, and the techniques for bringing the ball up the field.
Riding
Teaching attackmen to force their d-man into bad decisions by using the sideline and anticipating passes, and middies how to rotate over so a fast break or unsettled situation never happens.
Shooting
Overhand, three-quarter, and sidearm, including aiming for the off-stick side of the cage and high bounce shots. Proper hand placement, rotation of hips and shoulders, and extension of the arms build accurate form.
Dodging
Dodging from any spot in the offensive box: stutter step, dip under, face dodge, roll dodge, run either one move and go or two moves and go depending on the defender. Using the clock (up top is 12, wings are 3 and 9, X is 6) and changing speed and direction to free the hands, a player becomes a dual threat both ways, lefty and righty, shooter and feeder. V to V and V to C shooting on the run and alley dodging come with it.

From a coach
What a coach took from it.
Now having graduated from college and taken on a collegiate coaching career of my own, I teach many of the fundamental skills and philosophies I learned through LearnLax to all of my student athletes.
